Industrial hygiene surveys are conducted to accurately assess worker exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in the workplace and to provide recommendations for their reduction or elimination.

G2

When conducting an industrial hygiene survey, G2’s industrial hygiene team utilizes all available resources to determine the best sampling methods.

Several questions are asked in preparation for preforming accurate sampling, such as time and the technique, for sample collection based on the environment being surveyed. We identify and quantify contaminants, investigate worker complaints and evaluate the effectiveness of your engineering controls.

G2 will conduct a preliminary assessment of the area (qualitative sample), including an interview with building occupants who have the complaint.

A walk through inspection of the area shall be conducted. During the walk through, G2 will identify building ventilation systems and possible sources of contamination. Monitoring, (using a direct read monitor) for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature, and relative humidity may be conducted if found necessary (quantitative sampling).

We also look at all compliance issues when conducting an industrial hygiene survey.

A Time Weighted Average (TWA) is determined based on employee shifts and exposure.

G2 looks at all aspe cts of your environment.  We survey the physical layout of your building or plant, assess how your processes work, observe environmental noise, identify what chemicals are present as well as raw materials and by-products.

In addition to testing for indoor air quality and chemical exposure, G2’s specialists survey for microbial contamination, noise contamination, physical and ergonomic hazards. G2 can be your full service industrial hygiene partner. Simply contact us to get started.
